SCHIMKE RANCH is pleased and excited to present the newest addition to the herd, Troubled Memories......offering some of the the BEST bloodlines for racing and barrel racing available in the Appaloosa breed!

Troubled Memories was purchased from Wilkinson Racing Stables of Prement, TX, by the Schimke Ranch in January of 2011, at the age of 15. With very limited foals on the ground, Troubled Memories has already proven himself to be an outstanding racing and barrel racing sire. See photos below of some of Troubled Memories offspring. He has many younger up and coming foals, and will be bred to some of the best mares that we have in 2011 for 2012 foals. He has great conformation, a good disposition, and AAA speed which he is passing on to his offspring.

Troubled Memories best known progeny is Lena May, a 2002 chesnut mare who was a race winner on the track, and went on to win and place at several barrel racing futurities, derbies, and major PRCA rodeos. She was a Badlands Circuit Finals Rodeo qualifier, and the WPRA World Champion Derby horse in 2008. She has had numerous stories and articles written about her in the Barrel Horse News. Lena May was retired in July of 2009, but is now passing her genetics on via embryo transfer here at Schimke Ranch.

We are pleased and excited to offer the genetics of the paternal side of Lena May's pedigree, to the public, at a reasonable stud fee, with our purchase of Troubled Memories. We truly believe that this stallion is one of the best kept secrets in barrel racing today. We are looking forward to what the future holds for the upcoming foals by him, in the next several years. Please contact us if you would like to book a reasonably priced breeding, or to purchase a foal or prospect in the future.

The video is of Amy Schimke and Lena May, placing deep at the 2008 Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo against the "who's who" of the tough competitors in the WPRA.

CASHS ROSIE

Cashs Rosie is proudly owned by Hannah Koch and they are currently making some great runs in the 2D at the big open shows in Minnesota. Cashs Rosie is by Troubled Memories and is out of a daughter of Dashing Cleat. She was a former race horse and was started on barrels by Amy Schimke before being put in the Schimke Ranch broodmare herd in 2011. Hannah purchased "Sprinkles" in the spring of 2012 and started back on her in the fall when the foal was weaned. The future looks very bright for this team!
